Detroit speed wiper switch
Installing a Detroit speed wiper switch and running into a problem on clearance with the dash support. Other than cutting the support completely in half I cannot think of a way to get it to clear. Has anyone done this with success? I have already cut a notch out but still not enough, any more and it will be just removing a section all together in the brace.

My first though was could the switch be installed the other way around? (upside down to your picture)
Second thought would be to loose the nut and re-index the switch in the bracket, if it's possible, to get it into a better spot
Then I'd call DP and see why you need to cut the crap out of your dash...

Well i'll be damned, you have to cut the crap out of the brace...
DS has some really neat stuff, I would have thought they could have come up with a better solution than that.

Let me tell you, I ground down the brace support under the dash of my 1969 Corvette. I didn't like it but, I did. Installed everything and found out that Detroit speed has a deficient wiper switch for a 69'. I am still waiting. 2 months now! One of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. Detroit Speed is awaiting for there technicians to come up with a "NEW" switch that does not have problems. I would highly recommend Not going through this expense.

Thank you everyone - this is on a 69 vette. We got a hold of DP and they confirmed they sent me the Wrong switch and resending the correct one. As always, I appreciate all the responses from the vette community!
