In my vette I would drive around 100 miles. More if I take another vehicle. My idea of the perfect gathering would be a portable dyno for us to run our cars on and a wet t-shirt contest for the ladies. :D :yesnod:

When I was in my old Camaro group I drove over 600 miles to Memphis Tenn, since our group rented the Memphis motor park - we had some good drag racing and road racing over that weekend.
The event would have to be more than a days length to get me to participate in such a drive. A Dyno would be nice, drags or roadracing is a plus, however I would go (time permitting) just to cruise and hang out with forum members.

I think 300 miles would be far enough...
What to do? a little show and shine, a little performance stuff, and tons of benchracing...

I'd probably only go 100 miles if were a one day event involving Vettes sitting around some parking lot. Put that event at a drag strip with a load of Vettes to go down the 1/4 mile and I'd travel much further. Good 50-60-70's music always made the times at the rod runs worth while as it brings back alot of memories.
And to agree with the above.... when do we get Hooters as a sponsor here? :yesnod:

this reminds me that i was trying to get a Florida cruise goin about the time my crankshaft broke in half...
well...im up and running again and i would be up for a member cruise here in our state...
i personaly would prefer a gathering that included a good long "cruise" with a big, long line of C3's myself... :yesnod:

I agree with the hundred-mile posters .... :yesnod: and also agree that if there was a drag strip at the end of the line, I'd go further. :flag

For myself it was from upstate NY to BG KY for the cruise in. This was just my wife & I in the vette, with no one else in the event that we broke something along the way  . In the ned we both had a great time and aside from fouled plugs, the car was perfect :D .

About the distance from Tampa to the Orlando, NCRS meet this past Saturday (gotta love those early starts from Cracker Barrel!!!)
If in a corvetteforum caravan averaging 75-100mph  perhaps even further! I'd need one of those 2-way radios next time that's for sure

We don't have the range of the C5s (or C4s for that matter) do we? :(
My limit is probably around 200 miles. I try to drive to Carlisle each year, which is about 180 miles. Hershey this summer is a little closer.
You should also note that a winter drive is almost out of the question. MJ

Re: (MNJack)
I would travel about 200 miles, but I doubt that anyone else would be willing to travel within 200 miles of Plentywood, Montana; so my opinion is just another post on my record. :banghead:
