Radiator Hose Swelling?

Radiator Hose Swelling?
Has anyone seen this before?
Relatively new hose. Got it from one of the Vette "specialty" catalogs.
Feels like thinner rubber than old school stuff.
Doesn't seem ready to rupture, just swelling when at temp. Returns to normal when cool.
Maybe too small off inside diameter?
Maybe just the usual cheap Chinese crap being sold these days?
Any ideas?

I don't care how new it is, a hose that swells like that might explode at anytime. Replace it today, get one from the auto parts store while you wait on the 'correct' one. That way you'll always have a spare

Does look bad but isn't it supposed to be pushed over the ridge on the neck and the clamp also should be closer to the radiator past the ridge.

There's something really funky going on with the way the hose is flaring out above the clamp. Is the radiator neck significantly smaller than the hose or was it a firm fit to get it on the inlet pipe? I see it's an aftermarket radiator, so maybe the hose diameter is a misfit for the neck. Regardless, it definitely shouldn't balloon like that and I wonder if there is a separation of the layers inside the hose.

I had a upper hose that did that right in the middle some 10 years ago, showed it to the auto parts guy and received a new one.
We cut the old one open and it was missing the fiber/string filaments.

Those hoses are supposed to be thread reinforced, hence the struggle to cut them. Thats what retains the shape....that hose is garbage, get a refund. Does the listing say its just for NCRS judging purposes....its probably chinese junk. I would be wary of shopping with that company if they are cutting costs that could diminsh your safety
