Default TH400 Leak Solved? Selector Shaft Seal.

Like many, I fell for the trap that it was my pan leaking. I saw the selector shaft seal leaking a bit but did not think it could possibly be enough to drip down and cover the pan like it was doing. I finally bit the bullet and replaced it (well, cleaned the area really well and added a 2nd seal) and it seems to be holding. Maybe slightly weeping still but I will take it for now. Nothing on the pan for the last few days since replacing it. Feels good! I had fixed all of the leaks on the car except this one. The brake cleaner took some paint off of the pan while I was cleaning everything up but I will take it. ;-) Now to do the same for my '72 GMC 2500!

Thanks. I'd read on here that some folks were going this route.
