Do I use a brass fitting supplied o power steering pump hose for the Borgenson?

Yes, the small brass insert. Otherwise it will leak big time.

The ones I'm thinking about go into the box. Shouldn't be anything needed on pump end.

Yeah...but pay close attention to the other end....even with the brass adapter insert in both the supply and return it would not sufficiently tighten down.......it required my using 3/8" brass flare washers......it was like the gearbox ports were plunged too deep at the factory and the flare nut was not long enough...bottomed out before sealing.

I've been lucky. Mine has been there for years and hasn't leaked a drop. I've been amazed the GM pump they supplied has survived all my 8K+ RPM excursions.

I couldn't get the p/s hoes end to thread into the box. I kept wanting to cross thread. ordered these as used in the youtube video . https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...ol?seid=srese2. I had a drip on the connection to the power steering pump. Just making sure hose threads in p/s body straight up . Tightened as much as I could with flare wrench. Hope it's fixed.

Finally got this thing done. Love it!!
I aligned it myself with a tape measure from a youtube vid and got steering wheel dead on straight. Thanks for the advice..
tip: :
1) use the O ring brass fittings from Summit listed above on the steering box instead of brass fittings supplied by Borgenson.
2) Use the factory UPPER rag joint that slides on steering shaft, not the Borgenson one so you get a perfect 1.5 left to right lock on wheel turn.
