Default Obituary for Ernie Fry of Wilcox Corvette

Another loss to our Corvette family. I bought Corvette Parts from Earnie's Dad (Big Ernie) at Wilcox Chevrolet and then from both Big and Little Ernie from Wilcox Corvette. Both were always willing to take the time to help over the phone or when I would drop by the shop. RIP Ernie.

Sorry to hear that. I first spoke with Ernie Sr and Jr I believe about 20 years ago. I heard the business was sold as well, not sure if that is true.

Damn. We had some great chats and expectations of getting together when he was in NH.... Never happened.

I knew he had some health issues. Just a kid.

I worked with Ernie on several Corvette restoration projects and he worked to make those "American Made" understanding too well what many of us find with the lack of quality with offshore reproduction parts.

RIP, my good friend!

I contacted Ernie about a part for my 73 that no one sells. He took the time to remove it from a hard top and then send it to me. He truly was one of a kind, I always enjoyed reading about his replies to questions on the Forum. What a Great Guy. RIP.

I spent several $thousand with Ernie, and got much more than that in help. I appreciate how willing he was to always help, and the great tech section he built. Prayers for his family and friends. Best, Paul
