225 70 15 tires on a 70 with stock rims
I have some redline 225 70 15 tires for my 70 coupe with stock rims. Can anyone tell me if there will be any issues with the fit?

That is the closest size available to the original tires.

It’ll look just like stock, save for the style of white letters and tread pattern

Actually the OE tires in '70 were F70s and the exact modern equivalent is 215/70R15 which is also available. Later C3s had the G70 / 225/70R15 which is a good option for earlier C3s - dimensionally super close. But yeah the 225s you have - Good to go w/ that size on the '70.

Thanks to all responders.
I was most concerned about the front clearance as these new tires are a little larger than the 215 65 15 BF Goodrich versions I removed. I mounted one and installed it just to be certain and it fits with just enough clearance. Thanks again.
