They fit on a '70 Stingray.... Should not be a problem on a '75. What back spacing are the wheels? Mine are 4.5"

I'm not sure, the rally wheels I currently have are stock 15x8 that are original to the car.

Yes if the back spacing is the same as the stock wheels.

Stock factory wheels are 4" back spacing. The wheels I have are 4 1/2" backspacing which will work, others on the forum have used them without any issues. I'm using 1/2" spacers to match the 4" back spacing. You need longer wheel studs if you choose to use spacers.

I understand the lower profile tires on the 17x8 rally wheels will improve handling, but how do they ride?

Getting rid of the BFG's on my 65 Impala to go to a 17/18" combo improved EVERY part of how that car drives. There were no downsides at all. The conclusion I came to was that all sub $200 15" tires available today are crap compared to decent speed rated 17"+ tires in the same price range..
