Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement
Hello. I am asking for some advice from the group. I have a 1969 that has been in a shop for a year. It is embarrassing to admit it. Is anyone having a problem getting parts for their cars? The shop just tells me they are waiting on parts for the car. I understand that not everyone can work on c3 rear differentials, but a whole year seems odd. Thanks.

Pull it and find someone else......you can get everything you need to do the rear wheel bearings.....a year is total BS.

Timken has/had back-order issues however I have been able to get them for diff's and rear bearings so I would question what is going on? Most common shops are not rebuilding diff's or arms, they are just buying them from a vendor but even so 1 year is a problem.

I literally just bought bearings and all the hardware for my DIY rebuild. I went with Zip corvette to get the bearings and several of the hardware.
At 1 year, you could learn to do it and do it yourself in less time.

We are sending out several differentials a week so I don't see what is taking a year. Unless you are trying to build a 4.11 then I would just say that those parts are gone forever so need to pick another ratio.
