C3 With Flares
#42
I’ve never installed flares but I thought I read the best way is to get the car on the ground on the wheels and tires you intend to use, with full wet weight, and then fit the flares to the tires so they look the best.
Can someone who’s done this confirm if a good strategy or not?

I could not tell you as mine were already in and I changed the rim and tire package drastically. It does make good sense what you read though.

Larry is a 76 with 4" rear and 2" front flares and a '73 front and rear. 335/30/18 and 275/35/18. I fell in love with the 18" Intro Pentia wheels on a black 69 'Vette called "killer" that I saw on the internet. Later in a weird twist of fate I was able to buy those wheels from Killer's owner and we built the car around them.
