Here is my guess. Engine bracket for either the air conditioner compressor or back side of a unit on the driver side related.

kdf1986, thanks for the bump and input! I have the AC compressor and the brackets and I think they are all heavy cast steel. You could still be right, but I don't see where it would go.

I've tried lots of searches for "bracket", "support", "brace", etc. I can't figure it out so far.

I appreciate all the views. This one must not be that easy!
