Question about Twin Turbos with Side Pipes

Re: Question about Twin Turbos with Side Pipes (Stingraycrazy)
[QUOTEJay, I like your set-up but it does look to be pretty close to the ground. What do you think about and oval 90 degree and then back to 4" round at the tubes?

The round pipes I've got are actually not too bad at all. The ground clearance is good 5" and my car has been lowered approx 2". If I would have gone with under car exhaust I would have made the whole system from collector on from oval 3" pipes.

Re: Question about Twin Turbos with Side Pipes (Schmucker)
I think the "D" shape is good for a turn but not running the entire length. That’s why allot of the aftermarket heads you see have the "D" shape exhaust this due ot the sharp angle the gas has to make once it leaves the exhaust valve. A "D" would be good if I could find one for the 90 degree bend but It wouldn't help my ground clearance issue. Thanks for the thought

Spin Tech ( http://www.spintechmufflers.com/ ) also sells oval pipes, bends in both directions, transitions and mufflers. Although they aren't side pipes. You could get a 3 to 4 tranistion, then run 4" pipe from wherever the trasistion is convient.
I am personally running straight 3.5" oval tube all the way out the back under the car. Should look pretty slick when finished.
