I played around with my HEI, weights, springs etc but since this is a work in progress the 6530 makes it sooo easy.

That sounds great. Does it make that much of a difference having the lighter springs in the distributor or having the the timing curve all in at 2500 rpm .

What is your total timing? Should be about 28-29 with 8psi boost......
I put Dart 200cc Iron Eagle heads on my friends 355 with a Dyers 6v71 at 8psi boost and it is brutal........total timing is 29 degrees.

When the MSD E-tec dizzy came out I bought it. you set digital dials for max advance, when it's all in, when the advance curve starts, max additional vacuum advance. I messed with all the springs, weights, and stops years ago!

I've worked on boosted cars and products like these are the only way to go. F.A.S.T. has some great products also

Dutch Harbor has grown up whether we wanted it to or not. Fist Fights in the Bars are being replaced by families in there Kayaks. Same old Fish prices of 20 years ago so much for Covid making everything more. Well there is a shortage of Delo 400 15-40 lube oil and it is currently at crazy prices.
Have You tried running it with no octane booster ? Hasn't there been 40 different boosters in the last 40 years and every one of them sells with the pitch that this is the one that works ? Since You live in Alaska and Alaska moves by small Air Craft I would think that Av Gas would be a better option.

Well, thats progress I live in Palmer, AV gas is available, it's not real cheap either and many places wont let you put it in your car. Wasilla Airport I have done it. Yeah it knocks without it and I agree lots of snake oil. The torco appears to be legit.

The AFR with the 75cc chamber will drop your compression 1 full point and should work with your tight duration split cam fairly well.

I just ordered the number - 9 so 2 sizes colder and will gap at 30 I ordered some bushings for my distributor a 10 and 14 degree and a msd timing light . With that cold weather your blower motor loves that .

Well all I can say is trying to tune my msd distributor with out the e curve is a pain I am trying to get a total of about 32 degrees and I have 22 initial and the lowest I can go is 18 degrees centrifugal advance which is too much I found a company that sells a 10 and 14 degree bushing but it does not fit .
