Very nice!
I believe i have the same powered sub but i put mine under the passengers seat...
Like the op said its not all about the big bass boom. In fact the bass i get from this small powerd sub is pointed directly up into the passenger seat....she can not only hear it .. she can feel it ! Nioce

Kenwood also has a sub that fits in the jack well, it is self contained. I relocated the jack to the spare tire carrier.
Craig on his 71 rebuild showed it 3 years ago, sounds great.

I have a '72 vert, and so I am not familiar with all the back bulkheads and possible speaker mounting, BUT some decades ago, I mounted 6x9 speakers up toward the tops of the wall/bulkhead.....and they sounded GREAT........but I got older and so the speakers are still there, but I don't CARE......oh well

I too add a subwoofer to all my vehicles and also not for the bump bump bump, but as others have said, for the lows of a good classic rock song. Try Long Distance Runaround and just listen to the bass line roll! Cams 69, what sub do you have that fits under the passenger seat? I'd love to know if would work with my 79 seats? I just have a compact powered sub in the cargo area of mine, but always looking for something better.

I just installed this powered sub in my 71 vert in addition to false back wall with 6x9s and Bluetooth amp. It’s not gonna rattle the windows, but fills out classic rock and country with the sub at 50% volume. Very happy with it so far from the low end perspective. My biggest issue is not enough high end with the top stowed. Next step is to drop speakers in the kick panels and see if that helps.
(Kenwood 8” sub is in the compartment above the jack)

Looking forward to the pics of the KSC-SW11 installed under the seat. I went out and checked my car, I can barely fit my fingers under the seat let alone a 2.75" tall sub. Maybe if it was mounted to the seat bottom? My car is a 78 Pace Car, so it has the 79-82 fiberglass buckets.

You have to remove the seat to install. The sub fits , bolts thru the floorboard and the seat still will move forward.
The top of the powered sub case will get rubbed by the seats springs that hold the foam.
But you'lll never see the scratches....

There is a simpler way to hear some vibes fella's - perhaps won't give the same satisfaction if you have a passenger - but it'll 'drown' out all those resonant noises that tend to predominate and totally drown out the stock C3 radio - no installation required - loud enough to make the ears ring - it is........a cell phone (with pre-recorded music) and ear buds or headphones...........

Small subs are great. Had my reservations til I bought my 90 Z. PO put a nice system in nothing elaborate & had a 6 or 8" sub in back. Just sounded like a nice home system not a thug box. Loved it!
Always wondered about mounting one in those boxes
For flats....go to walmart pick up a compressor that plugs in, a plug kit, reg and needle nose pliers.
Youll be back on the road in minutes, no jack needed.
May need a modern sized receptacle or use with alligator clips for the fuse box.
Ea car has one to save my tows

We have one of those small self-powered subs under the seat in our little S-10.
I love it!
Very small cabin size like a C3.
It has amazing sound quality!
No amps at all needed due to the small cabin, just the head unit and the self-powered sub.
The only other thing we did was put in decent/good small speakers, and make sure the head unit had adjustable sub output settings.
I expect to do similar on my C3 except with a retro head unit so it looks stock, and hide the little sub somewhere.
I guess either under or behind the pass seat, or in the jack box are all good locations.
I had built another system for another car, with a big 12*12*18 inch ported box for a 10" sub, separate speaker amps, etc. It took up a lot of trunk space. It had more power and could go louder, but I didn't really care about that, So the power was overkill.
And it did not really sound any better than the little system we have in the S-10 with no amps and the little sub. OK maybe 20-40HZ was better, but that's it.

I'll have to take a good look back there.
Addendum: Lots of wires, lots and lots of wires. I think the room might have been there when I was putting the car together, but not now.
