Re: Friends wanna piece (battsup)
Ok I say you can take the following:
The porsche (unless its a 944 or a 912)
The camaro (Stock he's yours)
Maybe the mustang (if it is stock)
I would not play with these:
The T bird ( fast)
The GTO (stay away from him nuff said)
The MR2 (no Idea)
If there is no $$$ on it run them all. Then MOD!!!

Re: Friends wanna piece (battsup)
I'd say 'cylinder heads, headers, and updated carb settings' to give that beast the chance to realize the performance potential it has.

Re: Friends wanna piece (flood)
You definitely need some smaller chambered heads - gasket match ported.
Better flow and a little higher compression will get much more out of your
new cam and intake.
Headers - for sure, if you've got any $$ left after the heads.

battsup...
Definitely a nice looking '79 you have. Take a shot at some of them and see what you have. You will never know until that happens. GM definitely left us underpowered in '74 for the supposed mystic a Vette has always had for being a high performance car. The rotten years as you might say for the sake of emission controls that were in their infancy. Today with emission controls you find 400HP again. In Texas any car older than 25 years old does not have to conform to the new emission control tests, so I will push the button of pulling up against a new Z-06 when I am done and see what happens. I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Friends wanna piece (battsup)
regarding the Goat, why should he avoid running it. Isnt it very very very heavy as compared to the vette. maybe the goat driver cant launch his car correctly? I would say run the goat first as it is a true american muscle car and that above all would tell you were your vette stands as a performance car itself. As for the Comaro, if it is stock it will have to many emmissions crap to beat you if U are running with no emmission crap plus your mods( IMHO that is). I could be way way off hear but if U can drive your car U may be able to beat the muscle car. That would be
