1969 Convertible Speakers
Looking for advice and ideas. Just bought new stereo for my 69. My dash pad does not have Speakers. I found a small autosound box for the back compartment but it is not for a Vert. What are my options? Thanks!!

Burning Brakes
I put speakers in the kick panels, tweeters in door panel and I built this for the rear. The lower section is a self enclosed 12" low profile sub and the two speakers in the back. Its not the best looking but since it's a vert & hardtop you never see the top side.

I bought 2 boxes, have 6x9s in those and an Alpine SW8 subwoofer, its the shallow sself contained box. I have an amp hard mounted net to the sub and the boxes are floating. I have 2 4x6 speakers in the kick panels and it sounds great

Melting Slicks
I put upper dash speakers in the 6t8 along with some kik-butt kick panels speakers with an amp on them. Also installed a rear woofer with a separate amp. It sounded really great where ever it was parked, but out on the road forget it. The wind noise, ambient sounds, engine roar, I don't even bother with it anymore cause cannot hear it unless it blaring loud. T

My '72 vert has had two 6x9 speakers up top in the back panel, backside of speakers insulated from weather/moisture by a foam speaker backing they are full range and sounded great, but like the comments above I gave up on the stereo when reworking my interior/instruments....but the speakers remain in place....another thing, long ago I sealed off the Asstro vents in the back deck.....
