I made the switch.

I went with the Sniper, Gas Tank, and the whole Hyperspark ignition. It works really well!
I will say that the more radical you cam is, you will want to eventually get it professionally tuned. That helped me a ton. And I picked up about 40hp (but lost some fuel economy).
The great part is that there is no more hard starting cold or hot (no vapor lock), the response is unreal, You get a ton of information from the little hand held (I also pumped it to my Dakota Digital gauges), and it is very consistent.
Cons are that you do lose some control. For a car with no computers in it, now you have one adjusting things. Being a software guy myself, I weighed that because I felt like I was giving up some control. Also the original feel of the gas pedal was SUPER touchy. Get one of these throttle arm extension because without it the throttle is way too stiff and touchy.

Overall I love it.

Here is the dyno run after I had it tuned (485hp and 514ft-lbs at the rear wheels)

Pros: Spot on A/F control...no more fussing with chokes, warm up, vapor lock......timing control is an awesome thing. Control handheld is easy to navigate.
Cons: Price, routing the fuel system.

It is no problem really but it is simply not needed any longer due to the fact that you are no longer looking for vacuum to signal a carb.....which is the ONLY reason dual plane intakes existed. I think single planes look cleaner and they flow better......which you may or may not need due to airflow requirements. I think I would run a Victor Jr. or Team G.

Thanks for all the info, I am fixing to pull the trigger and get it installed. Tired of sluggish starts and sometimes timing issues and pinging.

I love being able to just reach into my car, insert the key and turn it. Starts right up and warms itself up. So nice.

I've heard from multiple sources that if you run a dual plane the divider has to be cut down at least 1/2". Or you can run a 1/2" open spacer I guess. Reason is the MAP sensor on the throttle body has to see vacuum from both banks or it will send an unstable signal the ECU making it run like crap.

Not sure about the Sniper, but the Terminator throttle body has a vaccum sensor on one corner of the underside. With a single plane it can sense the vacuum continuously. With a dual plane it is only getting signal from 1/2 of the intake. With that said, I have a Terminator with an Air Gap dual plane. That intake has the divider cut down slightly. Have not started it yet, so hoping it works. If not, I will be milling the center divider a bit to allow it to obtain a proper signal.
