Has anyone ever use Zymol car wax?
I just spent 20 minutes reading the back of about 15 diffrent car waxes at Autozone. Very confusing
I finely bought Zymol. They all claimed to be the best. I know alot of people on the forum use Zaino. I didn't feel like waiting a week for delivery.
Even though Zymol was the most expensive 12.99, the ingredients, I thought were the best with a combination of carnuba wax, bees wax, vitiman E, and Aloe. I know it's sound like something you would put on your skin. Most of the others had harsh chemicals with warnings. But they all claimed to have the best shine. As soon as my son gets home from school, I'll know how good this stuff is. :D I would like to know if anyone has used this stuff and what they think. :flag

Been using it for years . It is excellent when used on cars that are fading to bring out the color . I have never had the need to use it on my clear coat vehicles .

I have used two bottles of it in the past and always got good results. It is very easy on and off and restored some depth to my paint.....which with my 12 year old paint job, is all I can ask for.

Yup; It's what I use now. Goes on & off easy. Found that if you use a clean wash mit or soft cloth & water when it's time to remove it, it makes that part of the task even easier.

I really like it because it smells like suntan oil. Everytime I wax the car I want to let it sit in the sun and get a tan! Now I know why I have the urge for a cold beer and some Jimmy Buffet when using this stuff.

I use it on my '69 and like it alot. A couple of tips: Don't let it dry fully, remove it before it gets totally dry. It comes off a lot easier that way. Then, once you've removed the haze, use a small mister bottle with some distilled water to lightly mist the surface. Then use a soft cotton towel to dry and buff to a killer shine. It's the same principle that applies to "spit-shine" on shoes.

Spend your time and do it right! After my 2nd application this year, I had a Black C5 vert pull up beside me in traffic and say "WOW, what did you do to make it shine like that"
I'm a believer......

Try Zaino. I am a beliver in this stuff now. It goes on real easy, looks great and lasts a long time. The one thing I didnca't care for about Zymol was that it didn't last very long.

Based on recommendations from folks on the forum, I tried Zaino. Next, I used Zymol. Zymol was not only less expensive, it was easier to remove and produced a better shine. The best thing is it's readily available at Pep Boys. I've even seen it at WalMart.

Cutting power != Wax. You need abrasives to cut oxidation. Use a light compound or something, then follow up with a wax for protection. Can't have it both ways.

I used Zymol and wasn't impressed. It certainly didn't last all that long and the protection was so-so. It also left a yellow-ish tinge on my white car.
I've switched to Zaino and I'm much happier with the results. I'm not all that interested in a show car shine, I just like the ease-of-use, low cost per application, no residue and no yellow-ish tinge.
Aloe? Vitamins? LOL!!!

PS: If you want a unbiased, methodical test of most waxes and polishes (including Zymol and Zaino) I recommend The Wax Test....

I have used Zymol and like it. The water trick really makes it shine. I used Zaino last summer and thought it to be an equally good product, but am just not into the mail order thing. IMO Zaino, Zymol, and Wizards are all equal. Meguiars is good too, but they just have too many products to choose from. I like to keep it simple.
