Do you use your C3 as a daily driver?
I only take my 81 out on weekends or weeknights just for drives around. I don't usually leave it in a parking lot. The other day I took it out and pretty much used it all day. I drove it to my cousins house and then over to my aunt's house. Both places I couldn't leave in in a driveway so I had to leave it in the street. Luckilly both places were at the end of dead end streets. Then I had to drive it home at night. It was as if my Vette was my everyday car. It was so cool to drive it all day. I was so proud. So I was waundering how many of you use your Vette or Vettes as weekend cars or everyday everywhere cars?

I have two vettes and a truck. I drive the vettes when I am sure the parking situation is going to be okay. Otherwise the truck still gets lots of use. :)

I was just thinking about this, and the answer is....sorta. Being at college I don't usually need daily transportation but I can usually find an excuse. I need to drive the car to get gas so I can drive the car :) I love circular reasoning. I took it on a 3 hour each way trip last week and am currently planning to take it to my grandparents this XMas, in WV. Will definitely take some prep. time but I think it's doable.

Mine are just for fun... Occasionally I drive one of my Vettes to work...

I am lucky if I get my Vette out 3 times a week, but I make the most of it when I do :yesnod:
I have been useing it for long trips this past spring/summer, usually over 1000 miles at a whack. Every time I end my trip I swear I will never take it on a long trip again, but when the time comes to travel again, I am stragly drawn to it :)

I drive my vette to work only on fridays and only if there is nice weather. The trip is 40 miles one way. I also drive the car on weekends.

Every dog-gone day :yesnod: My vette is my daily driver and is driven everywhere - parked and left for the masses to appreciate. :yesnod:
If for some reason the vette isnt running - I have alternate transportation that keeps me going, but the vette gets the nod all the time.
Wouldnt have it any other way, sure I have several injuries on the car - paint chips around the nose and spoiler - the spoiler gets a curb strike every day or two. I've owned the car for 6 years and put almost 80k miles on it, been on three long road trips, the latest being the Monterey Historics in August.
I love it, wouldnt have it any other way.

I did for the first six years I owned it.
For the last couple I've had it off the road doing various projects.
I'm back up to about 80% back & forth to work, but I still leave it at home on some rainy days. Mostly just because I don't like cleaning it as much as I used to and if I take it on nice days only I usually only have to keep it dusted.
I know, I'm lazy :bb

Every day. Well, except for the last two weeks. One waiting for the weekend to get the rear suspension out. The other waiting for my rebuilt parts to come back from Bair's. I can't wait...
See, the problem is...I only have the Vette...so I ride to work every day with friends. :smash:

a year after I got my vette, my truck died... So I had 2 years of daily driving in upstate NY, including the winters !! Suprisingly I only slid into 2 cars the whole time :D

I drove it for about 5 months straight as a daily driver. it was during our cold colorado winter, and it did great! it slid only when i wanted it to. i was a responsible driver in it though. i think i would have a prolem driving it every day in the winter with 4.11 gears, but in summer time ill have it probably 5 out of 7 days each week.

I use mine as often as I can for a daily driver. Since I just got it 8/17, I am still finding things to fix on it. I am also still breaking things as I drive it. I guess that happens when a car sits for a while.
I've got 3 backup rides right now, but some of them are for sale. At this point, I can afford to take the Vette off the road for as long as I want. The problem is "as long as I want" is less than 1 second!
;)

No way. Not here in Ohio. Too much snow, too hot in the winter. Late Spring, Early Fall, summer nights and mornings.
Except for this season, since my engine spent the whole late spring and summer at the builder's.

Only had my 81 for a short time but drive it as much as possible. Which means as long as it's running ok, I drive it. Had alot people tell me I was crazy for having a vette here in Alaska where the roads are tough and winters tougher. I keep her warm and dry in the winter where she can be pampered till next spring. Wanted one since I was 16 and it took till I was 48 so I have a lot of driving to do to catch up. :D :flag

YUP!!!! in fact BOTH Vettes are daily drivers.
Recently bought a truck as a ''back'up'' vehicle..since ''Rosie'' is getting real close to being painted.
