Default 4l60e swap question

Hey all,

I've already done the LSX swap, but am now swapping for a 4l60e. What did you all do for the output yoke on the trans? Curious what I need to do for the driveshaft as my TH400 had a much larger yoke.

My experience with an LS swap is that the motor sits higher because of the motor mount adapters (and maybe geometry) and that changes the driveline angle. Have you noticed any difference in clearance at the firewall?

It definitely appears closer to the firewall to me, but I could be wrong. There isn't a distributor like the SBC, but I don't think it would fit if it were in the same place. I've been driving it with the stock TH400 with no issues though. Just time for overdrive.

I believe you can use a yoke from a T-350. It appears as though you may have to modify driveshaft length, cross member, and parking brake pulley if cross member is moved.

Powerglide 16 Spline
Powerglide,Turbo 350 TH-350, 200R, 700R, 4L60, 4L65 and more 27 Spline
Turbo 400 TH-400, 4L80, 4L85 and more 32 spline

I definitely could be wrong but I didn't think the TH-350 yoke would work; I kept my L82 engine but swapped the TH-350 for a 4L60e a few months back. I bought a new 700r4/ 4L60e yoke, had the drive shaft cut, shortened, and welded and bought the arched Bowtie Overdrives driveshaft to provide more clearance -now the exhaust runs under the cross member and the exhaust can be removed without touching the cross member.

The TH350 yoke should work fine. I have a Powerglide yoke in my 4L60e.

It was right in the dennysdriveshaft link I provided friend

The one thing OP may need to do is plug the vent hole (clean it & silicone it) in the yoke since the Vette is not a floating yoke and needs no vent.
