Paul,
I have had the weights off-center on mine, but did not experience any vibration that I could detect.

Then I would say your engines are not well balanced, or not balanced as well as mine... we spend 100's if not 1000's of $$$$ to get a drive train 100% balanced ... the crank, flywheel, pistons, rods all weighted and balanced to the N'th degree, but to have a pound of weights off center is all ok??? Really?? I can put a glass of wine on my 650 hp 427sbc's air cleaner run it up and down for. 2-7k and and have the glass stay still and steady

I would be willing to say that you have become used to the vibration and accredit it to your lumpy cam or whatever....

I remember revving up my 383.. and areound 3-4 k rpm I would start to feel the vibration.. push on the clutch, throughout Bering would help center the weights.. BAM! 100% smother.. a few seconds later, weights go to one side, vibration comes back.. push the clutch in again, same outcome...

Think... seriously, of you have a pound of weights off to one side, you will be out of balance and thus cause vibration..
Think.. can a top self balance itself? When weights are thrown to one side will they reself balance to the center? Think, what will prevent this from happening in its design?

I had cf clutches in many vehicles, and I was sold the same punch, and I also drank it...

At 7500 rpm, my 427 has as much vibration as a Cadillac

Off my 383..... does this look balanced to anyone?
Does anyone see a way that they will "self center"?

This is a pos design..
