Going up the chain is the first step as mentioned...
MOST IMPORTANT...
As I have found out in many cases a sign or disclamer on your ticket/recipt doesnt protect them from liability. Do you think if you put a sign on your car that said "Not responsible if I run you over" that it would fly. It is the same thing.
In most states they must use resonable care not to cause damage. You would have to fight it out that their methods were not safe, but the proof is in the puddin' or in your case the paint. Take pictures if you have not already and document everything that is done and said by them.
Im not a lawyer but have heard of and gone through situations like this.
Good Luck

Never Never use a touchless car wash. the spray is loaded with heavy soap and the stuff comes out the sprat at 8,500 psi yes I said 8,500 psi. Good car-washes will monitor the water spray at around 4,000 psi But as you said this guy that owns the car wash is a moron.

That suck's. I guess a cruise missle attack is out of the question :mad
If you can fix your paint, that would be the best. It will probably cost your more to fight, than fix. However, you can contact the ownership or franchise' and threaten to file some local complants: (Better Business Org. or Local Chamber of Commerce ect.) If they don't have security cameras, have your buddies do some long smokey burnouts in the parking lot over the next few weeks
Good luck,
Joe

I go to pay and sprays for the blazer, but the vette is hand wash only.
i would have stabbed the guy if i had an ice pick in my hand and he talked to me like that... but ive invested alot in my paint.

This is the reason why NOBODY touches my vette . . .
It is garage kept and is washed by me, by hand, with love and tenderness . . . no soap and no garden hose . . .

Glad to hear the stains came out.
I'd just chalk up another lesson learned and put it behind you. At least your vette is ok, that's the important thing...

Just being curious, but what is the name of this wash so none of us ever go there. Doesn't sound like a real reputible
place to me and maybe needs a little publicity. Agree with rest of forum, His speech is just a fear tactic to get them off the \\
hook and doesn't hold any water. If you had turned that in to your insurance company, they may have gone after them if
you didn't want to go to the trouble. Glad it cleaned up but it shouldn't have been your problem. If it's a chain someone
up the line would be very interested in this type of poor service. Then their reputation is on the line.

Glad you undid the damage. If you hadn't, the legal crux would have been, "If it's not reasonable, it's not enforceable." With proof, the implied contract would have been useless.

I hope you get some satisfaction one way or the other !!!!!!! As somebody mentioned above-----Right now it is illegal in Richmond to wash your car or water your lawn due to this drought! My vette's not painted yet, but I never take my car to any car wash. My girlfriend takes her Mustang and the fools always slop so much armorall on the interior and tires -- it gets all over the body and windows, it streaks everything ! Good luck! Rick :chevy

If all above does work do this:
Go to Wal-Mart buy a "Super Soaker" water gun in the toy section then head over to hardware and buy a gallon of paint thinner. Fill up the gun and find this guys car! :yesnod:

Re: I AM F ING PISSED (tippi58)
tippi, I agree, not only that, but those idiots with those blowers amaze me...all that noise, blowing grass/dirt all over the place, and to what purpose??? first breeze and it's all back where it started, anyway....waste of time/gasoline.....not to mention noise for no reason....

Get an attorney, make them put up a larger sign regarding their limits of liability, make sure EVERYone you know knows WHERE this carwash is (post their business name and address on every chat room and every bulletin board you come across) and sue them, anyway. Just for the fun of it. But ruin their business as much as possible. Don't get mad, get even. :D

Sorry to hear this. I don't suppose you would have any pictures would you? I would try some way to get a paint job out of this.
