The 1972 Corvette 454 smog pump (air injection pump)
What month / Year did the white fan change to the black fan?
My Corvette was manufactured May 1972 and my pump has a white fan.

Also do you know the correct part number of the solenoid used on the Starter 1108400 used on 1970-1972 454 / 4 speed corvettes.

NCRS Tech manual says white fan for early model '72s then square edge black then it is reported rounded edge black fan on very late '72s, but these may be indicative of a service replacement.
I would say, if original, the white fan may be right. Does it look to be an original or look like a repro (to white/to nice)? In other word, if your pump is restored, the restorer may have put a repro white fan on. Here's pictures of a May 20, 1972 pump with square edge black.

Yes, I believe the starter typically used on 454 4-speed cars in 70-72 was the 1108400.
