My 77 has a new clutch, throw out bearing, pressure plate. I didn't do the work. It was done by the previous owner. He gave me the receipts for the parts.
It only has a few hundred miles on it.
Clutch starts to grab nice and low, no chatter, no slippage, no vibration. Its outstanding but I get an occasional issue that's even hard to explain.
Sometimes... when I roll up to a stop and I am in first gear my tranny starts to vibrate and it almost feels like I have no clutch. If I push in the clutch pedal and give the motor a few light revs the clutch comes back like new. This happens 2 or 3 times in a 45 minute drive around town so its not much. I have no idea what it could be.
Oh yea... its the stock transmission so I assume its the Borg Warner Super T10.

What is the engine RPM ? It is possible the engine is stumbling.

Also most clutches require 500 miles of break in. (city driving)

Engine isn't stumbling. R PM is 750 and very steady. Clutch probably has under 100 miles city driving on it.

you state the trani vibrates, do you mean the shifter is vibrating?
please try to explain better the statement, it feels like it has no clutch?
how much free play does the pedal have before you feel resistance, should be about 1.5" ?

Clutch pedal vibrates. Feels like it has no clutch. 1.5 inches is correct.

Pedal feels normal. The car feels like i came to a stop but forgot to depress the clutch pedal while it was in gear.

If you can't adjust it with the rod from the pedal, the fork pivot stud may be threading back changing the geometry. I put an adjustable pivot stud on my car and didn't loctite I had to pull the trans out and readjust it using loctite.

Sounds like the clutch is not completely releasing.
Try adjusting out some of the free play in the pedal.
See if it gets better.

If the pedal has too much free play would that cause the clutch to act this way randomly? 90% of the time the clutch feels perfect and then all of a sudden I come to a stop and it almost feels like I forgot to step on the clutch pedal while the car is in gear. As soon as I jump back on the clutch pedal and give the motor some revs its back to normal. This only happens a few times in a 1 hour ride but it does happen.

it's beginning to sound to me the problem has nothing to do with the clutch but the engine idle is dropping too low causing the shaking when you stop. As you come to a stop but before a complete stop, what happens if you put the trani in neutral and take your foot off the clutch pedal, do you still get the vibration/drop in engine speed?

No vibration. Engine idle is as steady as a rock.

Looking at the adjustment nut do you have any room to adjust?

U should check the clutch linkage as the pivot pins can elongate and u loose the pedal travel to operate. There are 2 link rods that connect to the Z-bar - one from the firewall/operated by the pedal and the other from the Z-bar down to the clutch fork. Both the adjusting nut pins and the hole they go through will wear.

I found this out on my '74 when the operating pin on the clutch pedal broke its spot welds and i lost my clutch pedal but luckily right in front of the garage. After rebuilding and assembly the pedal assembly (yes Zip still sells the bushings) i couldnt get the clutch to adjust correctly or hold its adj. Well i found the elongated pin holes would sometimes catch and push in the clutch while other times is would slip. I replaced w/all new rods and adj nut/pins.
