78anniversary

Hi All, Can someone tell me the oil capacity of the A/C system on my 78? I plan to install all new components so starting from scratch.

Usually the new compressor comes with instructions as to amount and type of oil. Some even come pre-filled.

But, I would still do some searching anyway, just in case!

I believe its about 3-4oz ..you need to put half the refrigerant oil in the compressor, and turn it a few times by hand and put the other half in the dryer before evacuation.. do not over oil.. it will reduce your cooling
