Default New TO bearing making strange noise

Cant figure out why my new TO bearing is making this screaching whine noise. It happens when pedal is maxed to the floor so clutch is fully disengaged, then maybe an inch coming back up the noise starts. This would be right when the clutch is grabbing again I think.

Then it goes away as the pedal returns back about another inch or so later. Tranny shifts normal for all the gears. Bearing is from NAPA and I know I installed it correctly. Only happens during first and reverse shifts not inbetween shifts like 2nd to 3rd. I've done this 10 times before. I hope I dont have to pull tranny again, just did a few weeks ago.

Hoping someone has seen these symptoms before. Thx.

I would think its your clutch fork that is slightly touching the spinning pressure plate at that one spot in the pedal travel.

mine was screeching in the same manner, pulled it apart and it was the brass pilot bushing spinning in the flywheel (was a press fit when i installed it) I have had nothing but troubles with my Hays clutch trying to get it set up properly...so per Lars's post im putting in a McCleod clutch package and new bushing

Just an update:

I pulled tranny back without dropping to get at TO bearing and in my hand it looked fine with no play or damage. I ended up greasing it in the fork groove and on the tranny nose shaft. Put it back in and now no more noise.

So not sure if it was on wrong or just the grease but at least the screaching noise is gone.

Now I cant get back up light switch to function correctly. Always something......
