Default Second time down the 1/4 mile

This is the second time I've run my car down the dragstrip. My first run was right after I bought my car . L48 stock except sidepipes. Ran a 15.5 @ 94
New engine
350 goodwrench
Dart shp 180 heads, ported by Steve Sanchez
Comp cams xe276 hyd roller
Performer ram
Quick fuel 650 dp
Sidemount headers
4 speed
3.07 gear

I only got 1 run in. I totally miss the 60' by spinning thru most of 1St gear.
My shift point was 6300rpm. I'm very happy in how my car performed . Now I need to learn how to launch it. Had a great time ....and will be going more often.

That's a very good trap speed!

Yes definitely killer trap speed. A lot of wheelspin tends to drive MPH upward..but either way it's running very strong. It will be great to see you get back in there and walk it out of the hole without as much tire smoke.

Bet it was fun though!!

Goal was a solid 13 second Street car.
Will be practicing on the 60 foot time. My goal was not to bog on the hole shot but I way over compensated on it.
Thanks to all the members that gave me advise choosing the parts for my build.

13.6 at 109 with a 3.53 60ft shows a lot of potential for ET improvement. With any kind of traction you could be in the high 12s. I ran 12.8 at 108 with my car, on street tires. My car is an automatic so it was easier, but very erratic launching on BFG Radial TA tires.

I think that will be do-able,

My 66 was over a second faster with a better cat than me driving it...

I also ran 12.8 @ 108 on street tires. Get under 2.0 60' times and you'll be in the high 12's.

Keep practicing and you'll get it.

That thing is a freight train with that MPH!! Real solid performer, especially with the highway gears in there!

You spent the money in the right places with your heads and cam for sure.

109 mph is what I was hitting 12.64 with.
