I know but I will not tell! Let the new C3 Corvette owners guess! My attempts at trivia were designed to provide an educational process. Thanks for getting the question up. Much appreciated! I hope other members will do so also.

Thinner glass, thinner doors, and an aluminum rear differential.

Thats all I can think of.

What was the stall speed of both the L48 ( 350 ) and the L82 ( 400 ) in 77 converters. What was the stall ratio of both those converters. What is the angle of the V on the fan and gen belts? What is the water pump to engine RPM ratio. How much extra does B32 floor mats weigh? These should be trivia.

what were the two differential designations for the shark years?
what is the only external way to tell the difference in an '80 and an '81?
what is the date of the '78 indy 500 on the side of the pace cars?
in what year did the factory discontinue the muncie transmission and what replaced it?
externally, how can you tell a '68 from a '69?
what was the last year for the big block?
what was the last year for the convertible?
what are the two symbols in the red flag of the corvette logo?

so there's mine, enjoy!

what is the only external way to tell the difference in an '80 and an '81?
The crossed flags emblem. One had a chrome staff and the other black. '81 had the black one.

externally, how can you tell a '68 from a '69?
The easiest way is the door handle. The '68 had a push button door opener. There are other ways too. The '69 had chrome inserts in the gills.

what was the last year for the big block?
'74 was the last year of the big block 454.

what was the last year for the convertible?
Due to poor sales, the convertible disappeared after the 1975 model year and went on hiatus until 1985.

what are the two symbols in the red flag of the corvette logo?
The red flag is the Chevy coporate flag. It consists of a red field with the Chevy bowtie and a fleur-de-lies, a French symbol of honor. The original Vette badge was the victorious checkered flag and the American flag. But the American flag cannot be used for commercial purposes, so in the 11th hour before the Vette's debut the emblem was reworked to include the Chevy flag instead.

your taking all the fun out of this! actually, i've heard the main reason that production of convertibles ceased was because of seemingly emminent federally mandated rollover protection laws. notice there were NO American made convertibles from the mid '70s until the mid '80s?
correct on the 80-81 question, the only other dead givaway is if you see a late shark with l-82 badges.
right on the '68-'69 question.

there is at least one pre-production corvette emblem with the American flag on it, many of us have seen it. where is it?
the 'god-father' of the corvette, zora duntov retired in what year?
who took over the position of chief engineer when he retired?
what other company did zora duntov work/race with even while he worked with the corvette program?
what was the designation for the cross-fire fuel injection engine in the '82 vette?
what three size (displacement-wise) SBC engines were factory installed during the shark production run?
when were aluminum wheels first offered for the shark?

L48shark, your denied! let some others play. ;)

answer: 1975. Im still pissed that they put such a low h.p (L-48) in the legendary Stingray in the year he retired. Obviously, he was a Stingray Racer and Chevrolet should have payed omige to that for his retirement year. Oh well just my own :bs talking.

OK, if you insist. I'll relegate myself to asking and not answering. :D

How many '78 Vettes came with the 25th anniversary badges?
How many '82 Vettes came with an Automatic tranny?
(Note I put those 2 questions together... ;)

What was the only year you could purchase a Shark with factory side exhaust?

What was supposed to be an option on '77 Vettes, but did not pan out and why?

I have to disagree with you on the convertible question. The 1975 was the last year because sales had fallen to 12% of total production. And the bean-counters stepped in.
