Default Engine Assembly Question

Would like to get opinions on what is a ballpark figure for a machine shop to assemble a 68 327 cubic inch 350 horsepower engine.
I have the block, heads, crank, cam (new) , lifters (new) and valve springs(new) and they must supply piston, rods, bearings, valves, and timing chain and sprocket and assemble it all.
I know that it depends on the quality of the block and heads, etc. , but just trying to get a rough idea of what to expect for cost to put it together in stock configuration.
Shop was recommmended by fellow Corvette owners and I know nothing about this stuff so all machine shops are the same to me and I have no way to differentiate.
Thanks in advance for any and all input.

Default Re: Engine Assembly Question (ksbunting)

Since I recently pickup my block etc. I have the price list handy. To reassemble a short block $395. To reassemble a long block $595 just for labor. You supply the parts.
