Wrecked!!!!
:cry Well last night I went for a spin in the vette. It did not turn out so good. I took a turn near my house and lost control of my car. I eventually ended up hitting a tree. I am alright, but the vette needs help. I managed to remove the passenger side rear fender and the headlight assembly. I am in the process of calling around to find a shop. Tommorrow I will contact my insurance company and see what happens. I hope they do not drop me.

Re: Wrecked!!!! (Sigforty)
Bummer! :(
Most importantly, glad you are O.K.
But you must have been knocked out for a few seconds cause you didn't get the story right. I saw the whole thing and as a witness this is what I'll tell your insurance company...
You were driving along and made a turn and this tree darted out in front of you. You did all you could to avoid hitting it but it was just too late.
It wasn't your fault and the insurance company shouldn't hold you accountable.
I think there were some other forum members hanging around that corner also so I'm sure other witnesses will come forward.
Hope it all turns out as best as possible.

Re: Wrecked!!!! (BobJ)
That explains why my car had a long face this morning :(
So, I know how you feel when you walk out to the garage and it's not there to greet you. I hope it gets back from the body shop soon, and I hope that the insurance company at least uses some lubrication first.
Good luck !

BSeery, And mine should have been happy, I just put new shocks and front springs on her yesterday.
Do you know what the outcome of the last Arizona State - Nebraska football game was? Hmmm, I can't seem to recall? (I'm gonna live it up for 6 more days!!!)
Are the Lincolnites out for some Sun Devil blood this weekend? Ya never know, first game of the season????? I don't expect ASU to do that well BUT ya never know!

Re: Wrecked!!!! (Sigforty)
:( That sucks. Hopefully its not too bad of a repair job.
It could be worse. The vette could be rotting away in a garage undriven! I'm sure things will turn out OK.

Re: Wrecked!!!! (Sigforty)
Thats a drag but glad to hear yur ok. Ive not yet found my cars breakin point yet. Really dont want to either. Need to try it on road racing coarse to get used to what exactly it will do when pushed beyond the limit, and how much it takes to get to the limit. So what was the main contributing factor in loss of controll?

Re: Wrecked!!!! (Sigforty)
Thanks for all the support. It had rained earlier in the night and I think the roads were still alittle slick. I called my insurance company today and filed a claim. Now I am waiting to hear from the claims department team. I also called and found a good body shop who can do the work. I plan on getting this thing done right so I will wait any time needed to get the car back perfect. I will let you know how it is goes when I get more info.
