Default Power steering pump

Hi

What is a good brand of power steering pump to use in my 75 vette?

And where do they sell them?

Also where can I get good long lasting hoses

Thanx

A

Myself, I'd try to find an AC/Delco rebuild. AC/Delco rebuilds are available on rockauto.com.

From my reading i think it is how they reman it, they are more likely to hone and check tolerances and put it back to better than oem spec than other mexico and low paid employees who dont care if their company gets a bad name as they couldnt be bothered doing it perfect.

I am getting a Borgeson as they are a pain to take out and i dont want to risk it with a $30-$50 reman pump...

Sent my original to Bairs Corvette for rebuild.. had back in about a week. That was best decision for me. There are others who also offer rebuild services as well who rebuld your pump and do a great job. These retailers also offer high quality hoses. http://www.bairscorvette.com

To me there are 2 options with PS pumps:

1. Rebuild your own-its not that hard-I did it. Kit is $20. Wanted to keep the OEM pump.

2. Buy a new one from a reputable name.

Don't buy a generic remanufactured unit...most are junk.
