Well I attacked the the front spring. I cut 1/2 coil off first and that dropped me 1" so I cut another 1/2 coil which gave close to what I wanted 2". It is still Little high on the driver side but I'll drive it this summer and see how it sits in the fall.

Also I tried the 10" bolts today. That's not gona work. The spring ends a down into my tire.

The misses came out and checked it out and she would still like to see the car lower in the back. I agree, what do u guys think. her words when she saw where the spring ends almost contacted the tires were, "That's not gona work, order the new spring". I love it. I can get a VBP at Corvette Depot here in canada but i want to call VBP first to see what they Recommend.

If you look at Cboyd spring mount. It looks as if he has a spacer between the spring mount and the diff cover. You can see a half inch gap right behind the bolts as it screws into the cover. This might be his problem. Make sure you don't have the same set up. Longer bolts will work if needed but make sure everything is correct first. My stock 82 sits about 3-4 inches above the tire with 255-60,15 BFG tires. I think the top of the wheel opening was 27-1/2 inch from the ground. Hope this helps.

I noticed that actually. I'll double check but I don't think mine has that space installed.

Hygiene, that is the attachment kit that came with the spring. T did try and remove that spacer, but the spring would not sit even on the diff. Anyway, I did install my 300 VBP and everything is good. Not sure if I took pics or not, but I'll check. Thanks guys for all the help, I am back on my turnaround now, but will get some pics when I get back in.

While the fiberglass spring subject is up.. What are you guys running for shocks? I came across a post once with suggested shocks per spring rate, but haven't been able to find it again. I have the vb&p 360 lb. spring in my car.

Here was my ride height with the 360 vb&p with stock length bolts. It was like this since I bought it back in 2001- to change in the next few weeks.

i have the QA1 non adjustable shocks and they are great. VBP was out of stock and they called QA1 who picked the valving they thought would be best and sent them straight to me in almost no time. the ride and handling is fantastic.
