I am about to buy this setup as well for dads 37 chevy.

Question on the distributor.. I have read the MSD 8366 Module fails all the time.

Would this distributor suffice? Its a Computer controlled GM HEI smallbody...

I went through 2 modules then replaced it with a crank trigger...works great...

That is good to hear! Yeah just wanting to drop in a unit and it run correct.. car is going on long road trips... no issues wanted here. hahah.

Having the crank trigger provides a great piece of mind knowing you have a reliable system...that module even with the heat sink compound was always a worry...
