I'm with Scott.......literally. After August I'll be heading back to OZ, but then I'm not from Florida so I don't have any say in this. Would have been great to meet some of the guys tho. Maybe next time.

Why don't you and Scott tell us what weekend you are comming to Orlando? Maybe a few people can show up. Make this a seperate thing.. Sort of a test. I'll cook up some burgers, or whatever. We could meet at my place for the afternoon and when everybody gets here, caravan to old town. :cheers: When the date is known then we can make a head count.

I'll try and make whatever dates you all decide on. I'm not to particular about the date and would like to meet everyone. My 4 yr restoration is just getting to completion and I need to build up my confidence in the car. I don't want to be trailered home :nonod: so, I'm taking longer and longer test drives. :yesnod: By mid-August or so I should be good to go.

I just sent Bob an IM asking what show he prefers to miss here, I'm guessing the weekend of the 17th would probably be when we come up though. Not too sure on my Vettes status, I still have a couple bugs to work out before I make a 1 1/2 hour trip on 108 octane :D Any place close to you that sells Cam 2, VP or Shell 100-110?

BTW, I did get an email from Ray today, he's getting a new job and probably won't have any time to make it unfortunately, but I'll keep him posted just in case.

Yes Scott there are a couple of places fairly close that sell CAM II 110 octane for $3.50 from a pump. There is also a speed shop a block away that has some leaded Octane booster TURCO) that makes 20 gallons of 106 octane. $20.00. I thought you were ok with AMOCO 93? Did I miss something? Mine seems to be running fine on AMOCO now that BP connects sell AMOCO fuel.

The AMOCO 93 was so-so but still ran rough, I dropped 5 gallons of VP C12(108 octane) in and saw a good improvement. I have 10.5 compression and everyone said that's the way to go, so far it's running better but I didn't get far as I melted a heater hose and took a face full of hot coolant :mad Luckily it happened in the driveway, but now I have even more to fix :rolleyes:
