Default need help identifying steering column parts

need help identifying steering column parts and where to replace them.












the book picture is there for reference i am missing that little gear in the picture. the the clip i dont know where it goes.

ok, my 2nd attempt i didnt have the ignition gear lined up correctly. but im still lost as to what attaches to the rod and that who little side cover where the tilt handle goes.... its a 79 with T&T.... any help would be greatly appreciated, also the clip i posted earlier where does it go???? other people took it apart so i was not around to see it come apart so i have no reference.

ok so on my 79 it appears as if the rod that is pictured has no function because i cannot tell how it would connect to anything related to a dimmer. does anyone know how #40 fits in and exactly where????
i cant tell from the diagram
