Default Need a rear sway bar measurement

Can someone with a Vette brakes or even a stock sway bar take a measurement on how wide the rear sway bar is. Seeing if it will fit between my tires. Thanks

It is even with the tailing arms if that helps as I was recently rebuilding everything under mine. If you are running offset arms with deep tires then the tires will probably hit the sway bar.

I have a stock sway bar- Vansteel's coil overs- single offset trailing arms w/ 18 x 9.5 w Boss 338 wheels 4.5"BS 285/40.

The curvature of the bar- they still scrub-
My solution going w/ some 3/8" hub-centric wheel adapters/spacers

This is the VB&P spring end link rear 3/4 bar. When I bought it the end links were not Vertical. So I bent it in the middle for tire clearance and for vertical attachment.

wheels are off the ground, 6 1/2 inch bolt with 420# mono

After some back and forth today with Dan from VS the stock bar won't fit unless I get out the heat wrench. His bar just won't fit with my current new exhaust. His setup is really nice I just don't want to mess up a brand new expensive exhaust system. So I think I will call addco in the morning and have them bend me up a custom slightly narrower bar and I may have to make some different mount brackets but what else is new. Nothing on this car has fit since swapping out to LS. Power so why should this be any different.

Is it a stock bar that is just been bent. My tires inside to inside are 46 inches apart. I would probably need 45.

I only have 4.5 BS wheels. It is a VB&P 3/4 with spring end links. That is a center to center measurement

Ok thanks for the info. I'll investigate it more later this week. I am out of town for a few days.

Good for you! Tomorrow I could give you my inside tire side wall bulge to bulge measurement if you would like. I have not looked into the Addco bars

My 79 never had the sway bar OEM.

That would be great. Mine never had a bar either but the mounting holes are there.

If you or anyone else after you is interested I have a splined rear bar off my vintage racer project available, .875 diameter, 42-7/8 (44" wide counting the heims) wide with 11" arms, if the 11" arms are longer than stock they will reduce the stiffness of the .875 bar and if I remember correctly the heims mounted to the inside of the t-arm portion (the car came with a 5-link) instead of on top.

I've got the addco setup with a Van steel rear spring. All fits. I have no idea what my tire to tire measurement is.
