Video and sound of new exhaust
Here is a rather unique view and sound clip of my new exhaust from ARH. It does sound a little different in person but you get the picture and sound

Worth every minute of the delay!
And a unusual video as the wall thickness of the exhaust system gets much quieter while moving toward the engine.......it sends all the sound to the mufflers! I noticed because the stock exhausts on my '68 w '70/350 is nearly as loud under the seat area as at the mufflers.

Curious: How do you like that leaf-spring front suspension? I'm toying with the idea of investing in the CB&P "Big Daddy" kit with my frame swap and wanted to talk with someone who had a similar setup. Just happened to notice that along with the front rack.
Input? Good change? Just 'different' and not 'better'? Or transformative?
Trying to decide between the front leaf setup or the investment in the coil-over setup...

Cool. Good to hear. Appreciate the feedback.
Like I said, I'm embarking on my build of a complete rolling chassis without using any parts from my car and attempting to have all new/improved components.
With a couple of "compromises" regarding the suspension, I have set a total budget of $8,000.
I'm getting the frame for $550, which is a good start. I can blast it, repair it, and gusset it myself.
The afore mentioned "Big Daddy" kit includes the rack, offset trailing arms, big brake kit, complete suspensions front and back, and a tremendous volume of other components.
The "compromises" I speak of is a leaf spring vs. coil over in front and a leaf spring vs. "Shark Bite" in the rear. Those simple decisions cut thousands off my total build cost and take it from "stupid expensive" to something I could actually pull off.
Anyhow...pretty off topic. But I wanted to get a feel for it from someone who had both things that I'm trying to decide on.
Carry on! Car sounds great!

The system is a totally custom built stainless steel system from AR headers. They took the 3 inch collector back to the cross member and reduced it to 2.5 from there on back. They have their own mufflers that Nick assured me flow as well if not better than most mufflers out there. Not anything you can buy off the shelf.

Gordon, nice system, looks great and sounds great but to be plain honest, I'm happy for you. I don't personally know you but with what you have gone through over the past year, you deserve something good to happen to you and it looks like it has. I hope you really enjoy the new set up and get that car on the road as soon as possible.
Good Luck,
Bill

Sounds great Gordon. Hope you start to enjoy some driving time. One of these days we need to get our cars together.
