Default '72, jack dimensions

Does anybody have the compressed dimensions of a factory jack?

Lowered height, lowered length, and base plate length and width?

Looking for something similar to fit in the original spot, but with out the $300 price tag.

Thanks,
Doug

The NCRS Restorer mag from Spring 13 has an article about jacks and handles, date codes, etc.

1972 jack has a base plate dimension of 9"L x 5"W
in 1976 it changed to 9 x 4 3/4"

1972 top plate dimension of 5 1/2"L x 2 1/8W

1976 changed to 5 1/2" x 1 3/8"

I measured my 1978 Jack and compressed it is @15 3/4"L and
height is @3 1/2".

If you want to know about the holes in the handles, whether elongated or drilled send me an e.

If you run across someone willing to pay $300 for a 1978 jack please let me know.
