Honeymoon on hold?
Ok time for some Brain picking, been loving this car for a week or two since I got it, last couple days it's been breaking up on hard accel and steady cruise, kind of hesitating at steady rpms, I just checked around the forum and today replaced the plugs with ac R45 with an .035 gap, after a quick cruise it seems to worse, just put back in the garage. I'll try replacing the cap and wires next ( any recommendations?) it's a MSD blaster coil and elect ignition. Any thoughts?
70 L46 350/350 4 spd , .030 over, cam edelbrock intake and carb.
Pre-thanks

Le Mans Master
start it up when its dark outside kill the lights etc and start it up see if any of the wires are arcing . that would be a good sign its wires, it won't always show up but it is a good sign.

Melting Slicks
Good idea about looking under the hood in the dark. Sparks do show up. There are probably some more obvious, easy issues that I would look at first, but I had the same thing happen on a C2 that I owned back in the day. The distributor itself was shot, not the Points ( do a search for you young guys) but the shaft or the gear, not sure what it was, but it would break up at the top end. Bought a new dizzy and problem solved. Just a thought.

It sounds ignition related to me either the coil or module or it could be fuel hard to tell without actually driving it. Caps, rotors, and wires and generally either good or bad.

Check the fuel Filter.

Drifting
After you've checked the things above, it could be today's crappy gas. I had a similar behavior even with all good components, finally fixed by richening up the jets to compensate for the gas.
