1976 corvette. I flew off the road hit a rock and "healthy" shrubs. Broke a chunk of the bottom of my transmission. Car starts and runs just fine but.... my steering is now locked. I can't turn the wheel at all. I had it towed home but I can't steer it into my garage. Anyone know of any potential problems this incident could have caused to my steering?.

Just pull up on the lever shown above and zip tie it up and you'll be able to steer until you get it fixed properly.

Yes. Sucks don't it. Also yeah...i figured out the problem, the tie rod is bent upwards because of the small object i ran over. That's why the wheel won't turn.
