Battery Drain Interior Wiring Help Please
Hi Guys.
Hoping for some help restoring my 70'. I took pics of the wiring under driver side dash which has loose connections. Does anyone know where these go? I am guessing these are causing my drain.
1/2 speedo luminates, no tach lights.
Battery drains very fast (minutes) with light switch on and engine off. If I shut the light switch off battery stays solid over 12V.
2 wires orange and white d/c but found orange is still running 12V constant.
2 Green wires d/c - same colour. I connected these and it made no difference.
1 white wire d/c no power, attached to the other white and nothing.
Any help is appreciated, racking my brain using wiring diagrams and AIMs and searching the forums.
Thanks!

Thanks! New picture added
Thanks Womb! One down - I am going to try to ground it on the door jam switch tonight.
It makes sense the red is wiper overide as the PO had an Ecklers Monza full tilt hood on it, deleting the wiper door.
Anyone know the rest? I have another picture that may help. The orange and 1 of the two white wires is top left, very close together and both look almost burnt.

I connected the white (long) wire + black (long) wire to the door jam switch = no difference.
no buzzer or door ajar light either.
Light switch on = 12V dropped to 4V within seconds.
Ignition turned to ON = 12V dropped to 5V within seconds.

Sounds like you dont have much of a battery in there. No "draw" is going to drop a good battery from full charge to 4V in seconds, short of a dead short with some stout wires to conduct it through.

Took a quick look at the wiring diagram. In that area of the harness there is a green wire to the wiper relay. Also in the same area the white to the door switch. There should be an orange with power to the courtesy lights and that white to the switch.

UPDATE - Ongoing
Replaced with a new battery
Connected DG wires
Connected Black and White grounds to door
Replaced 5AMP Fuse
1)Found both the black and white wires going to the door jam switch for ground, are not good grounds neither worked when I tested them to ground - any suggestions?
2)Rheostat shows 11V when turned to a certain point but does not always show power when spinned left or right. - Need to replace
3)All bulbs dead, except 1. I checked power and most show power but some do not.
Picking up new 1895 bulbs, but not sure what to do about missing and broken sockets?
