Default Side Exhaust for 540 BBC

Need some help finding headers and side exhaust for my 75 540 BBC. It's got AFR 335 heads. Would like to go with largest possible size headers and side pipes should be quiet enough for the street.

Hooker makes a 2-1/8 primary header. You can get several different muffler/baffles for the sidepipes to suit your taste. Keep in mind that some of the mufflers are really restrictive and will hurt the performance.

568 ci with Hooker Sidepipes 2 1/8" primary's and Hooker max-flow inserts, I had baffles at first but did not like the sound and switched to Hooker max flow's.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to get at least 2 1/4" headers. I couldn't find any that size with side exhausts though. Street Shaker, yours sounds fairly quiet which should be nice since I'm only driving on street.

It's not as quiet as it sounds on video it's a bit louder, it dyno 820 hp all motor on pump gas, car is mostly street driven makes few runs on track every once in a while.

AFR heads' exhaust ports are raised .300 or thereabouts. It gets a bit tight where the primary tubes go under the frame, and then again past the steering box.
I did a test fit on my 69 before I jumped out and spent $$$ on heads so I didn't have to replace the headers. I set a bare block, a pair of used solid copper head gaskets that were close to .200 thick, and then heads that had .250 raised ports.

This is a mild 540 with Hookers and Max-flows. About 1.25 HP/cube. Video quality not so hot, but the audio is representative.

I had to modify 4 tubes to fit on my 69 with a 502 and AFR 315's. They are Hookers with the 2 1/8 inch tubes and ceramic coated in and out. My sidetubes have 3 inch Dynomax race bullets spliced in. Not quiet but the dyno loved it. The system will be for sale here in a couple of weeks if you are interested.
