Default HELP: Power Steering Shimmy

So I finally got the Control Valve on the '77 replaced and no more leaks. That's the good news.

The bad news is... now when I turn the wheel to the left at idle, I get this shimmy through the steering wheel. Doesn't happen when turning it to the right... just to the left and only at idle.

I re-adjusted the valve a second time to no avail... problem still exists.

This did not happen before I replaced the Control Valve. What have I screwed up? Any help from the veteran experts is much appreciated.

I don't think you did anything to cause the problem. The replacement valves are known to be problematic. Did you adjust the valve with the front wheels off the ground and the ram disconnected from the frame mount? Do you still have the original valve so you could rebuild it? Ck. here for all things steering. mike...
