What sump for Dart SHP Block ?
Hi,
Can you guys please tell me what sump to use in my 68 with Dart SHP Block ? Part Number ?
I would prefer a 'Moroso' sump if possible as I have a Moroso dealer within 100 miles of me. Unless there is a much better fitting brand.
The car will be a weekend cruiser and will not see any strip time.
Maybe the odd club track day, but nothing too serious.
Basically a sump that fits well and holds oil suited to a 3.75 stroke.
I'm sure there is a few of you that have been there and done that.
Cheers.

Melting Slicks
Here is what I used with my Dart SHP Block:
Moroso MOR-22124 Pump and Pickup kit
Moroso MOR-20200 Oil Pan
I first used a Moroso high volume / pressure oil pump (MOR-22139) and had a rear main seal leak.
Then I re-read the Dart SHP brochure and found out they recommend a standard volume / pressure oil pump due to the priority oil mains built into the SHP block.
I'm not sure if the cause of the rear main leak was due to having a high volume / pressure pump and priority oil mains flooding the rear main seal with oil.
Every thing looked good when I opened it up to replace the rear seal and oil pump with the standard volume pump. It no longer leaks, but will remain a mystery to me.

The B&B pan certainty looks a bit nicer with all the extras.
Has anyone used one in their car ?
Just want to make sure there is no crossmember clearance issues.
After all, it has to circumnavigate the globe first before use and it's a long way to send back...
