Engine upgrade on 76 vette
Just purchased a 76 with the original L48 installed. The engine overall runs well but I'm not satisfied with the power and would like to install a engine. I was looking at the ZZ4 but was told the "turn-key" engine would not fit and I would have to buy a basic ZZ4 and install the other parts from my original motor. I would rather go turn key with a new motor. Any ideas.? I want at least 330 hp from this new motor and would be more comfortable with 350 hp.

Several crate motor companies available.
You can still get decent mileage with your TH350 trans. I get 19 mpg on my rebuilt 350 putting out around 380 HP.
Here are several crate motor companies. See who you like, give em a call.

nothing wrong with buying a basic engine and swapping your parts. But I'm pretty sure the turn key does fit
