almost a month since my last installment.
Got the Borgeson installed - so happy to do it with nothing in the way! Looks amazing in there. I also got new slotted and drilled rotors in, so I installed the calipers and finished up running the lines to the wheels. Then I cleaned up the rims a bit and installed the tires. They will eventually get PC'd black but this is good for now.
this is the first time she has been on her own wheels since I disassembled her, so I just sat and smiled for like 10 minutes!
I spent the last 2 weekends working on another project that created a lot of dust in there, so I wheeled it out and hosed it off. Don't worry, I wiped it down after the pics!
Since my engine won't be ready for another 2 weeks, I decided to dig into my old engine to figure out what that loud knocking sound was. Didn't take me long.
For now the original engine gets wrapped up and stored and I impatiently wait for my engine. Meanwhile, I am off to the storage lot to stare at the body for a few minutes, and then grab some parts to work on.
Cheers

So its been a while since my last update....
I got the engine from the builder, and dropped it and the transmission in.
Since it was time to move on to the body, I enlisted the family to help with the swap. The plan was to bring the body from storage to the house, and then take the chassis back. After a lot of stress...we got it done!
Yes - that is a Tucson monsoon coming at us. We beat it by 20 minutes!
The first thing I wanted to tackle on the body was insulating the car. Tucson, AZ knows heat...and I read through all of the threads here on CF about ways to insulate. I went with the EZ Cool. Despite getting the 3M adhesive spray everywhere....I think it will do fine. I also did underneath.
Next is reinstalling the brake pedal assy and steering column mount. Then I am going to test all of the electrical.
I can't forget to mention that Lanny81 came by the house last weekend and checked out my project. Very happy to have met a forum member and fellow enthusiast!!!

Ok, time for an update!
Last weekend we put the body back on the chassis. A huge thank you to CF member LannyL81 who is also here in Tucson. He volunteered his Saturday to come help and it was greatly appreciated! We loaded up the pieces and took them over to TKO Corvette Restorations who did my body, and Tom provided his expert guidance and support.
Lanny and I loaded up the body and got it to TKO with only one close call!
Set up the hoist:
Readjust the hoist:
Lift her all the way up:
Roll the chassis underneath:
Set it down and bolt her up:
Loaded her back up and brought her home!
It went extremely smooth, and I am excited to start final reassembly!
Again, a big thank you to Lanny and Tom (if you don't know who TKO Corvette Restoration is, find him on FB). Tom also told us that the NCRS regionals are here in Tucson next March so we'll both be going to see all the awesome vettes.
CF meetup here in Tucson??? hell yeah!
Thanks for reading. This weekend should see some good progress (headers, starter, door hardware, engine bay wiring) so I'll post more later!

short update...
Got the radiator installed
Also put in the sound bar - looks great but I have not heard it yet. Will let you know how it sounds.
pulled the plugs and rotated the engine
I have the electronic stuff sitting in the garage waiting for me, including:
Intellitronix digital gauges
Parrot Smart Infotainment system
Electric Headlights with several mods
That's all for now - thanks for reading!

Turkey Day update...
Installed the Intellitronix gauges.
video of the radio and speakers (kinda loud)
Testing the electrical
Installed the carpet and test fit the console
bench bled the master cylinder and installed. Bled the brakes.
installed AC compressor and the belts (omg what a pain in the rear)
Looking good so far!
filled the fluids, cleaned up all the transmission fluid from the stupid leaking pan gasket (actually the pan's fault). Fixed that and refilled.
added some gas.........
and.....
forgive the laugh at the end...I was excited!
so I did that a few times checking for leaks...and found the transmission cooling hose leaking....fixed that.
Taking today off but tomorrow I will confirm the leak is fixed and kluge up my old exhaust to the new headers so I can eventually drive it to the exhaust shop for new pipes and some magnaflows.
Still need to fix the lighting, install windows and door panels, and attach the nose and tail (last steps). Also, my digital gauges are being finicky so I need to troubleshoot those too.
But damn am I happy she fired right up!
Lots to give thanks for today.

Being away from home sucks (21 yrs in the Army taught me that), so its always great to have something exciting to come home to!
