Default 1982 Heater Control Panel Install

I have a new heater control panel that I am going to install in my "82". The only switch that works at present is blower. Hoping new control panel will take care of problem. Does anyone have any install instructions or tips before I tackle this job.

Thanks!
Don

Be careful, it's real easy to break the tabs on the ends and scratch the clear top surface.

Those tabs are really fragile! Don't expect to seat the control in place by tightening the screws. Make sure it is fully seated in place before tightening the screws. The same applies to attaching the cable. Be extremely careful!!!

I don't know what the engineers at GM were thinking when they designed all these flimsy plastic parts.

Have you looked over the diagrams in the AIM? It helps to have an idea of what you're up against before jumping in to it.
