So it's rare to see a nice looking woman driving a Vette. What's equally as rare is the sight of a Black man like myself driving one, too. I haven't seen the current issue of Vette magazine, but I'm relatively certain there are no Black men gracing the pages. Perhaps I should send them a photo of me and my '81. :)

Nothing wrong with a 60 year old woman driving a vette but in a bikini? My eyes hurt and I haven't even seen it. That sounds worse then me in a speedo and I am in pretty good shape.

OK this is getting exactly the reaction I wanted :)

First, my girlfriend is absolutely horrified that I posted this. Like I said she never says anything bad about anyone, and she can't believe that I would make myself look like such an @ $ $. But, I think its fun to shock people every now and again to get a reaction. :D

I want to re-iterate that I'm not judging any of these people -- I don't think they are inferior people or not worthy. I would love to meet any of them and talk about cars all day long. I’m sure they’re really nice and I don’t judge people by looks. That said, there are like 3 good looking girls in that whole thing. Just calling a spade, a spade. I just think it's funny and that's my weird sense of humor. :crazy:

Look at this statistically. If I went ANYWHERE and took a random sample of people I would get a distributed curve. A few people would be VERY attractive, a few would be VERY unattractive, and most would be average looking. That’s the way of the world.

The headline in my message is rhetorical. I KNOW there are good looking women who drive Corvettes. As was posed in the pictures and in off topic there are MANY good looking women who could have been profiled. I’ve seen pictures of Jenny and she’s very cute.

So how the hell did VETTE not manage to find any of these people?!? That’s what I think is funny. Statistically, there SHOULD be some good looking people in those pictures, but there aren’t. And, it’s not like the cars are all that special. At what point did someone at the magazine not look at the issue and say to themselves, “Uh, we need to up the babe quotient here a bit.”

Look, I know I sound like a pig. Again, I’m not condemning them as people. Seriously, look at the magazine, take of your PC hat and tell me I’m wrong. If some teenager picked up this issue off the newsstand he would think EXACTLY the same thing I’m saying. Doesn’t do our hobby well when I pick up a copy of IMPORT TUNER and every girl in there is totally hot. For better or worse, I’m just calling it like I see it. Sorry for being honest.

Well when I went to this year's cruise in, I met the gal that owns the Mako Shark look alike C2 Corvette that was featured in Corvette cars and parts mag (If I remember right). Whew! She was a hottie. She could definitely hurt me.

It's really too bad they don't make a policy of photographing the Corvette's owner. That would've been a natural. They're probably trying to be all proper and whatever.

Now I guess it's time for me to be..."proper". So that's all I'll say about that. :blueangel:

Keep diggin yourself in ;) Seriously, there are all types of corvette owners, maybe most of the young women drivers you occasionally see are just drivers not enthusiasts. There are certainly attractive male and female corvette owners just as there are those who aren't as attractive but that's the least important thing. I'd rather see women of all ages that really love their vettes than a bunch of empty headed bimbos that don't know the radiator from the alternator.

Well, I don't post much here but I just have to say that I can think of 3 hot chicks (besides myself) off the top of my head who drive Vettes. A '95, a '94, and a '74. And then there's me with my '71 (hubby thinks I look good but I think the car looks better).

I haven't seen the magazine you're discussing, but it sounds like a few of us around here better get together and have our pictures taken to submit :lol: .
