Pics of my carbon fiber air dam

As ridiculous as this might sound it's hard to see the details of your air dam.
It would be nice since you said the install lowered the running temperature.
It looks like a great idea but could you post a better picture and give us some details of how you made it?

Looks great, nice ride as a whole I must say!
More info on how you made this and the effect on cooling would be nice indeed.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I added some more pictures here. Let me know if there are any other angles you guys would like to see.
I basically used a stock plastic air dam as a 'plug' and expanding foam from a can to extend it longer. Created a mold from that piece after carving the foam to shape I wanted and vacuum infused the carbon fiber in the mold. It's a bit more complicated, but I run a custom composites business on the side.
I plan on making a 'better' dam that has a splitter implemented into the design as well. This was kind of a rush job if I'm honest, but it gets the job done.
I run a dual pass aluminum radiator. I have less than adequate sized electric fans (cheap 11" freebies) and temps would creep to 200 F in traffic (LA traffic gets pretty rough).
After I installed the dam, as long as I'm moving more than 5-10 MPH temps don't go over 180. At speed (80mph) I'm around 165-170 F.

Otherwise I'll be doing a carbon fiber L-88 style hood with functional vents.. As soon as I have time, lol.

Custom Composites? Carbon-fiber L-88 hood? Air dam? Hmmmmm. Ok, I'm in line with an order. LOL! BTW, I know that LA traffic well, used to go 405,101,etc. in an 18 wheeler.

Maybe the carbon fiber weight savings will help me with gas mileage.
I'm going to be doing my interior soon. Maybe start this weekend. I need to have the Vette ready for show car season!

That looks great, awesome job!
Here are a couple of pics of my carbon fiber pace car type front spoiler:
Okay, okay....it's not real carbon fiber, it is 3M's Di-Noc vinyl wrap, but it sure fools a lot of people! Di-Noc has the look and feel of dry carbon fiber, it is pretty cool stuff.

I love the look of your spoiler. What brand is it? The wrap really does look like carbon fiber. Did you wrap it yourself?

Most people that put these on have them painted body color, but I have always thought that didn't look right on a chrome bumper car, so I came up with this idea. I had a shop wrap it in Di-Noc for me.
