Putting a 1997 5.7 engine in my 74 corvette, I'm tiring to make it look old school. Problem areas, timing chain cover I want a alum cover, will a older generation cover fit or do I have to plug the timing sensor hole. I got a 4 barrel highrise, msd dist, coil and the custom flex plate. I'm putting a holly red fuel pump back by the fuel tank. Aqny other things I'm not knowing about?
I got this engine cheap from a friend who wreaked his truck was rebuilt 9000 miles ago.
